New categories among some important changes to the industry event of the year

This year sees the Health Insurance & Protection Awards turn 21 – that’s right, the industry event of the year has been entertaining the great and the good of the sector and rewarding provider and intermediary excellence for 21 years – and the entry process for this year’s adviser categories is now open. All the details are available here.

We’re proud to turn 21 – and we’re grateful for the enthusiastic and committed ongoing support of the industry.

But we appreciate that we can’t rest on our laurels and so we are making some important changes to this year’s event, in response to feedback from across the industry.

As usual, the Health Insurance & Protection Awards will recognise excellence across the provider and intermediary sectors and culminate in that glittering black tie gala dinner in London, with this year’s event taking place on 17th October.

A number of categories in the Intermediary Awards – and some of the actual category names themselves – have been changed to reflect the consultancy-led approach taken by more advisers in the field more accurately.

The new categories for this year are Best Adviser for Mental Health Strategy & Support, Best Adviser Sales & Retention Team and Best Adviser for Customer Service.

The Provider Awards

In the meantime, insurers across the sector will be hoping they’ve done enough to impress their intermediary partners over the past year to secure a highly-prized accolade in the Provider Awards – and this year we’re asking intermediary readers of Health Insurance & Protection Daily to choose not just their preferred provider, but their top three in each category, ranking them 1, 2 or 3. You can cast your vote here.

We’re making that change in response to industry feedback and in consultation with research specialists at our parent Informa, the multinational events and publishing company and data provider. We agree that the increased granularity of this process will deliver an even more accurate reflection of intermediary sentiment. Voting takes just a few minutes and can be done online here.
